Leaders in fostering growth and development for athletes

On a mission to build athletic mentalities in the North Bay

Meet The Team: Building Athletic Minds

At BAM BAM Training, we don’t just coach. We mentor. We push. We build.

Behind the workouts and drills is a team that lives the lifestyle they preach: committed, relentless, and purpose-driven. Co-founders Will “Bull” Bullard and Steve Miksis bring decades of combined experience as athletes, coaches, and leaders who’ve walked the walk and now lead others through the same fire.

We created BAM BAM Training to serve North Bay athletes who are hungry for more: more guidance, more structure, more mentality training, and more results.

Steve Miksis

BAM BAM Training Logo

Volleyball Mentor. Athletic Developer. Personal Growth Specialist.

BAM is the evolution of Stephen Miksis meeting and joining a high school in Northern California by random chance via a work colleague. He was introduced to a top-tier athlete and head women’s basketball coach, William Bullard, at St. Vincent de Paul in Petaluma. Stephen chose the path less traveled, which made all the difference.

What made Stephen an incredible athlete was not the coaches, but the elite players he trained with. Their intrinsic knowledge was passed down to him, and it had a core that he embraced. He told them to make him an athlete, and he would listen.

Steve’s accomplishments early on showcased his talent and recognition as a top player and led to his recruitment by major college programs like USC

  • MVP BAY League 1997
  • Best Offensive Player 1997
  • Athlete of the Year Award Nominee 1997
  • Beat Mira Costa 1997
  • Division 1 3rd Team 1997 (Opposite)
  • USA Volleyballmag.com Fab 50 Recruit 1997 to USC

Injury prevention is essential to Stephen because he followed all the instructions, but he faced life-changing injuries. It comes down to mental health, core strength, confidence, and vertical leap, encompassing body and mind.

When a door opens and you see such talent in William Bullard and Hannah Dillingham, you run through it. Stephen's goal as CEO is to augment all sports in Sonoma, Napa, and Marin with specialized training and assessments by individuals who have overcome obstacles on many levels and are here to guide and support student-athletes from novice to elite.
