Coach where the work gets watched.
We are a small staff in Petaluma training athletes ages 4 through adult. Every plan here starts with an assessment, which means the coaching is specific and the results are measured. If that is how you want to work, we want to hear from you.

Roles we hire for
Openings come and go. If one of these fits you and it isn’t listed as open, send your resume anyway. We keep it on file. Kinesiology and exercise science students: ask about seasonal internships.

Full or part time →
Athletic performance coach
Strength, speed, and conditioning for athletes across sports. Every program starts with an assessment, so you read movement before you write anything. NASM or equivalent certification required.
-
Part time →
Youth development coach
Our youngest athletes start at 4. You teach movement basics, build confidence, and mentor kids through their first years in sport. This role decides whether a kid keeps coming back.
-
Part time or contract →
Mental performance coach
Focus, composure, and resilience work for young athletes, delivered alongside their physical training. A background in sport psychology, coaching, or youth mentoring is preferred.
What we look for
Certifications get you in the door. These are what keep you here.
You coach, you do not supervise
A printed sheet and a stopwatch are not the job. Every set gets watched and corrected.
You can explain why
Athletes and parents ask why. “Because it is the program” is not an answer here.
You are certified, or working on it
NASM or equivalent for training roles. If you are mid-certification, say so — we have hired that way before.
You are good with kids and adults
Same floor, same hour sometimes. A 9-year-old and a 45-year-old need different coaching in the same room.
Will Bullard and Steve Miksis. Both played Division 1 — Will basketball, Steve volleyball. It is a small staff, so you would be coaching alongside them rather than reporting up through anyone.
Vertimax, BlazePod, the Tidal Tank and the SandDune Stepper, plus a recovery lounge with a cold plunge and infrared sauna. If you have not used some of it, that is fine — most people have not.
How hiring works
-
01
Send us something
Resume, or just an email telling us what you coach and where. No cover letter required.
-
02
Come in and talk
At the gym, on the floor, during training hours so you can see what a session actually looks like.
-
03
Coach a session with us
Paid. You run part of a real session with a coach alongside you. It tells us more than an interview does.
Send a resume to info@bambamtraining.com, or call 707-753-3583 and ask for Will.
